About Us

Our Beliefs

At Christ the Rock Global Methodist Church, we stand firmly on the foundation of God’s Word, upholding the truth of the Gospel and the transforming power of Jesus Christ. The following statements reflect the beliefs and values we follow as a Christian faith-based church.

The Trinity: One God in Three Persons
God exists eternally as three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person is fully and equally God, possesses the entirety of the divine nature and attributes, and is wholly worthy of our worship and service. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; John 1:14; John 10:30; 2 Cor. 13:14)

God the Father: Sovereign and Holy
God is the Creator of the universe, eternal, unchanging, all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-present. He is perfectly loving, just, and holy, the sovereign Ruler and Sustainer of life. God is the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Father of all true believers. (Gen. 1:1; Eph. 4:6; John 1:12-13; John 5:19-21; John 17:1-5; Isa. 40:21-28; Isa. 43:10-13; Isa. 46:8-11; Rom. 8:14-16)

Jesus Christ: Savior and Lord
We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who became flesh through the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and was crucified to pay for our sins. Through His death, He reconciled believers to God and opened the way to the Father for those who follow Him. He rose bodily from the dead, demonstrating that death no longer has power over those who believe in Him. He ascended into heaven, sits at the right hand of God the Father, and will return to judge the living and the dead. (John 1:1,14,18; John 3:16; Luke 1:30-35; Phil. 2:5-8; Col. 2:3,9; Mark 10:45; Acts 2:22-24; John 1:29; Rom. 3:25-26; Heb. 10:5-14; 1 Pet. 2:24; 1 Pet. 3:18; John 20:20; Phil. 3:20-21; Heb. 1:3; Rom. 8:34; 1 John 2:1; Acts 1:11; Heb. 9:28; 1 Thes. 4:13-18; 2 Thes. 2:7; Matt. 24:44; Rev. 19:11-21; Rev. 21-22)

The Holy Spirit: Counselor and Guide
The Holy Spirit reveals and glorifies God, applying the saving work of Christ to individuals. He convicts sinners, draws them to Christ, imparts new life, and indwells the hearts of believers. He regenerates, guides, equips, and empowers believers to live a life free from the dominion of sin. The Holy Spirit also bestows spiritual gifts on believers, enabling them to edify the church in accordance with scripture. (Acts 2; 1 Cor. 13:8; 1 Cor. 14:22; John 16:7-8; 1 Cor. 6:19; 1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 1:13-14; Eph. 4:30; Gal. 5:16-17, 22-23; Rom. 8:5-13; 1 Pet. 4:10-11; Rom. 12:3-8)

The Bible: God’s Inspired Word
The Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is God’s infallible written Word. We believe it was uniquely, verbally, and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, serving as the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and life. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)

The Church: The Body of Christ
Believers are called to live by the power of the indwelling Spirit, resisting the desires of the flesh and bearing fruit to the glory of God. The church is the body of Christ, of which He is the head, where all people unite to worship and glorify God. The church is commanded to love God and its neighbors, serving all people, especially the poor, oppressed, neglected, and afflicted. The body of Christ is to combat spiritual forces of evil with the living Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the victory of Jesus Christ.

The Mission of the Church: Making Disciples
The mission of the Global Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly. Anchored in our belief in Jesus Christ, the Church is of God and will be preserved to the end of time to worship God in spirit and in truth, to faithfully preach God's Word and offer the holy sacraments, to edify all who believe and encourage them to grow in their lives of holiness and service to others, to minister to those who are in special need, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, to present the world with a clear and compelling invitation to accept Jesus Christ as Lord. All those of every age and station stand in need of the grace that God has promised to extend to others through His Body, the Church. While it is ultimately the work of the Holy Spirit to change the hearts of individuals, ours is the task of sharing the good news of God as we respond to the summons of Christ in Matthew 28: "As you are going, make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you," even as Christ has promised to remain with us always, "even to the end of the age."

Marriage: A Sacred Covenant
The Christ the Rock Global Methodist Church maintains a traditional, biblical understanding of marriage as a sacred covenant of loving and monogamous relations between one man and one woman, affirming the sanctity of the marriage covenant expressed in love, mutual support, personal commitment, and shared fidelity.

Social Witness: Faith in Action
It is a bold and public demonstration of faith through actions and words, emphasizing the call to serve, share the Good News, and advocate for justice and the vulnerable.

Welcoming All: A Church of Grace
While affirming a scriptural view of sexuality and gender, the church welcomes all to experience the redemptive grace of Jesus and is committed to being a safe place of refuge, hospitality, and healing for any who may have experienced brokenness in their sexual lives.
